Joint purchase Fodder development conducts feeding experiments on all production animals and has its own experimental barns for dairy cows and fattening pigs. In addition, national and European research institutions and dedicated livestock producers are used as experimental hosts.
Since 2008, Felleskjøpet has tested various power prototypes at Mære agricultural school before launching them on the market. Testing has taken place in the pig house and in the dairy barn, and is done under controlled conditions with all or parts of the herds. This is an important part of the development and quality assurance of new types of power for agriculture.
