Towards zero emissions

The zero emission farm is our vision. But is it possible to achieve zero emissions from a farm?

At Mære and Skjetlein, we test and demonstrate new possible solutions. There is no easy path to zero emissions, but with this vision we are moving in the right direction. At a lunch webinar on 4 June 2024 under the auspices of FME-ZEN told Torger Mjønes in Trøndelag County Municipality and Tove Hatling Jystad at Green competence center Mære-Skjetlein about the work and how far we have come on the road to zero emissions at Mære agricultural school.

When we use the term zero emissions, this includes both the emission of greenhouse gases and the sequestration of carbon.
